an interview with the artist
We had the privilege to catch up with themindwillnotletgo on a recent visit to Austin. We shot six interviews over two nights in the lead up to the release of the new album burnout.
Now that we are done with the below interviews, we thought it would be nice to post a little shout out interview from themindwillnotletgo to the fellow label mates The Geoffs. Check out the history between some of the members.

Click on the first episode - the beginning and the process and stay tuned as we release the rest of the interviews over the next couple of weeks.
The third episode in the series, paynomind / spit, talks about more of the influences and their techniques that were used on the album. We also jump into the meaning and backgrounds behind some of the lyrics.
The fifth interview in the series, beautifulpain, is the most poignant and heart wrenching. Covering the loss of his late wife Diane, the visitations and the little momentos that she leaves him. All of these things sculpt this song into a beautiful tribute to her.
The second episode delves into the early years of recording and the song wildfirehurricane. Click the link below to check out just what the song is all about?
Number four in the series features the lead single of the album, crashandburn and finds us talking about what the lyrics are about and where they came from. The album is now streaming on all platforms! Check it out and watch the videos!
Our sixth and final interview covers the song lucky and the history that brought this song to the album. It is a touching homage to our buddy Alan Hiserodt and everything he influenced during our years playing together.
